Your Responsibilities
  • Performing thorough patient assessments, ordering essential diagnostic tests, and creating tailored care strategies
  • Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions in partnership with physicians or autonomously (as per credentialing)
  • Guiding patients and their families on prevention, wellness practices, and disease management
  • Prescribing necessary medications and therapies in alignment with your professional scope
  • Engaging in patient follow-ups and managing chronic care plans
  • Collaborating with diverse teams to provide seamless, holistic healthcare
  • Maintaining meticulous documentation within electronic medical records (EMR)
Educational Credentials
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
  • Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Certification Prerequisites
  • Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in Alabama
  • National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent specialty
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
