Job description

Coordinate and supervise all activities associated with the reactor cavity seal table during Pressurized Water Reactor (PWR) refueling outages. Direct installation, operation, maintenance, and removal of seal table systems while ensuring personnel safety, contamination control, schedule adherence, and compliance with plant procedures and nuclear quality standards. Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate seal table installation, leak testing, operation, monitoring, and removal during reactor refueling outages.
  • Supervise Framatome technicians and craft personnel assigned to seal table activities across multiple shifts.
  • Plan daily work assignments and coordinated resources to support outage milestones and refueling schedules.
  • Serve as the primary interface between plant Operations, Refueling, Radiation Protection, Maintenance, and Engineering organizations for seal table activities.
  • Monitor seal integrity, water levels, and equipment performance to ensure safe reactor cavity operations.
  • Ensure compliance with plant procedures, radiological controls, ALARA principles, and Framatome quality requirements.
  • Conduct pre-job briefings, shift turnovers, and safety meetings to communicate work scope, hazards, and outage status.
  • Respond to equipment issues and coordinated troubleshooting to minimize schedule impacts and maintain outage progress.
  • Verify completion of work packages, inspection documentation, and quality records before turnover to plant management.
  • Track project progress, maintained daily status reports, and communicated schedule updates to outage leadership.
  • Support contingency planning and rapid resolution of field issues affecting seal table operations or refueling activities.
  • Maintain strict housekeeping, foreign material exclusion (FME), and contamination control standards within the refueling cavity work area.
