Project Coordinator – Nuclear Projects

DOE experience is fine. With ALARA planning, it needs to be nuclear at either commercial plant or DOE level... not Hospital or Lab environment.

Pay Range- $40-49/hr depending on experience

Role Overview

Coordinates project teams of 1–5 people, managing planning, scheduling, and control of project and program activities. Acts as a specialist on assigned projects with detailed knowledge of all aspects of project execution. Maintains awareness of new developments and technologies. Monitors projects, recommends changes to improve efficiency, and develops budgetary estimates.

  • PMP (desired but not required)
  • Construction Management Certification (desired but not required)

Principal Accountabilities

  • Manage small projects for refueling outages, forced outages, and online maintenance.
  • Oversee planning, leading, controlling, and monitoring of project work to ensure safety, quality, schedule, and budget compliance.
  • Manage all aspects of project implementation, including:
  • Budgeting and cost tracking
  • Work package preparation
  • Parts procurement
  • ALARA planning
  • Industrial and nuclear safety
  • Work prioritization and resource loading
  • Work execution, including resolution of schedule delays/conflicts
  • Interface with clients, engineers, management, and stakeholders to ensure progress.
  • Develop and manage contracts; coordinate with vendors.
  • Prepare and deliver communications (written/oral) for senior management.
  • Develop and maintain long-range project strategies.
  • Provide outage support, including OCC.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business, or related field AND 1 year of technical experience

OR

  • Associate’s degree in related technical curriculum AND 3 years of technical experience

OR

  • High School Diploma/GED AND 5 years of technical experience

Required Abilities & Skills

  • Basic project management techniques

  • Basic use of MS Office and computer tools
