Are you looking for a great team environment?  Southern Farm Bureau Casualty Insurance Company is currently seeking a Database Administrator, Lead.

Southern Farm Bureau is a great company and an excellent place to work. Essential Functions

Support database management systems software and applications.

Research and implement new database management systems technologies. 

Promote data standards, system procedures and security policies, and best practices.

Develop, implement, and maintain change control and testing processes for modifications to databases with minimal supervision.

Provide end-user training for efficient use of database tools and resources.

Manage all database-related activities including daily maintenance, problem resolution.

Ensure uptime and availability (replication, clustering, mirroring), and develop and manage data flows within the environment.

Perform routine maintenance activities such as installations, upgrades, and patching.

Analyze performance metrics and enhances performance of databases.

Resolve database access and performance issues.

Responsible for coordinating backup and recovery procedures.

Design and implement redundant systems, policies, and procedures for disaster recovery.

Act as data security administrator.

Perform database transaction and security audits.

Mentor and train Database Administrators when and where required.

Additional Responsibilities

Night call may be required.

Additional hours may be required to meet project deadlines.

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Regular and predictable attendance is required.
