Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Electrical Estimator with a strong background in cost analysis, bid preparation, and electrical project planning. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of labour costing, electrical material pricing, and project requirements, along with hands-on experience using estimating software such as EBM Vision or Accubid. This role requires accuracy, analytical thinking, and the ability to support competitive and compliant bid submissions.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for electrical projects, including labour, materials, and equipment.
  2. Analyse project drawings, specifications, and scope documents to determine requirements.
  3. Develop detailed quantity take-offs and cost breakdowns.
  4. Source and evaluate pricing for electrical materials and subcontractor services.
  5. Prepare and submit comprehensive bid proposals within deadlines.
  6. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to ensure alignment on estimates.
  7. Utilize estimating software such as EBM Vision, Accubid, or similar tools effectively.
  8. Monitor market trends, material costs, and labour rates to ensure up-to-date pricing.
  9. Identify potential cost risks and opportunities for value engineering.
  10. Maintain organized records of estimates, bids, and supporting documentation.

Required Qualifications

  1. Should have strong experience as Electrical Estimator
  2. Strong knowledge of Labour costing, Electrical material pricing and Electrical materials needed in projects.
  3. Demonstrated expertise in preparing Bids.
  4. Proficiency in EBM Vision or similar estimating software such as Accubid.
