POSITION OVERVIEW

As a member of the sales team, the Account Manager will be responsible for outside sales, business development, and account management with a focus on growing sales through existing clients and also new opportunities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Acquire new business accounts in your specified territory
  • Make sales calls, presentation demonstrations of products
  • Follow-up on leads and close new business opportunities
  • Provide exceptional customer service by phone, e-mail and in-person
  • Provide accurate quotes for sales and rentals
  • Ability to communicate with many people on different levels of business
  • Process and capture sales and rentals in SAP / HubSpot 
  • Answer customer inquiries about traffic control regulations and products
  • Arrange deliveries for product sales and rentals
  • Load trucks for customers and deliveries when needed
  • Participate and represent the company at trade shows, seminars and marketing events
  • Ability to present a professional image and interact positively with our customers
  • Interpret tender documentation for accurate project quoting and management
  • Perform cold calls in the field and on the phone for sales when necessary
  • Have well prepared weekly travel plans set up a month in advance on a rotational calendar
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of SAP / HubSpot is considered an asset
  • Able to thrive in a high volume, fast paced environment
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Minimum three years of customer service or sales experience
  • Good time management with an ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Knowledge of road construction and/or traffic control industry is a strong asset
  • Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn new software quickly

 

 

HOURS OF WORK

The typical work schedule will be Monday through Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm although additional hours may be required during busy season (May – October).
