Job description

Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and develop individualized therapeutic plans to address oral motor, communication, and feeding needs.

  • Deliver Speech and Language Habilitation/Rehabilitation services in accordance with physician orders.

  • Treat individuals with disabilities, disorders, or injuries related to speech-language functions.

  • Utilize therapeutic devices and equipment to restore or maintain optimal speech and language performance.

  • Instruct and supervise individuals, families, and caregivers on therapeutic equipment and home exercise programs.

  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and collaborate on individual care plans.

  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation using electronic health records (EHR).

  • Meet productivity expectations and actively participate in scheduled supervision sessions.

Requirements
  • Valid New York State license in Speech-Language Pathology

  • ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP)

  • Minimum 2 years of experience with the I/DD population preferred

  • Experience with dysphagia is a strong plus

  • Familiarity with AAC devices is highly preferred, but not required

  • Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision
