Location: Waterbury, CT

Reports To: Regional Manager

Status: Full-Time, Salaried


Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $55,000โ€“$65,000 (based on experience)

Key Responsibilities


Leadership & Culture

Create and maintain a positive, enthusiastic, and high-performance team

Foster a strong store culture aligned with Crumblโ€™s mission and values

Demonstrate strong leadership, integrity, and a servantโ€™s attitude

Build team morale, inspire excellence, and ensure accountability


Operations & Brand Standards

Uphold and exceed Crumblโ€™s brand standards in service, cleanliness, product quality, and operations

Maintain COGS (Cost of Goods Sold) and other operating expenses within company standards

Monitor and resolve operational challenges; review processes to improve service, performance, and safety

Manage daily store operations including scheduling, training, inventory, baking, and equipment care

Maintain accurate food and equipment inventory

Schedule staff to ensure proper coverage at all times


Customer Service & Issue Resolution

Deliver and model exceptional customer service

Investigate and resolve customer complaints with empathy and efficiency

Cultivate a โ€œRaving Fansโ€ experience for every guest interaction


Team Development

Hire, train, mentor, and develop team members

Encourage personal and professional growth within the team

Coach staff on performance and support advancement opportunities


Safety & Cleanliness

Enforce and maintain all food safety and sanitation standards

Ensure facility and equipment meet and exceed cleanliness standards

Provide ongoing training on safe work practices


Communication & Critical Thinking

Serve as a clear and consistent communicator across all levels

Use strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to address challenges proactively

Ensure timely and accurate updates via company communication platforms

Requirements:

Physical Requirements & Schedule Expectations

Able to stand and work on your feet for extended periods

Able to lift up to 50 pounds

Comfortable retrieving items from low shelves, high shelves, fridges/freezers, and under counters

Capable of maintaining a fast-paced work rhythm for the full duration of each shift


Must be available to work all operational store hours, including opening and closing shifts


Preferred Qualifications

1+ year of experience in business, hospitality, or food service management

Strong leadership qualities and a passion for people

Exceptional customer service, communication, and team-building skills

Experience with scheduling, inventory, and cost management

Associate degree or higher preferred

ServSafe Manager Certification (required during onboarding if not already certified)
