Job description

Managed Services Operator - Per Diem

Position Overview:
The Managed Services Operator (Per Diem) is a key member of Laerdal's Managed Services Team, delivering expert support and ensuring seamless service delivery for programs such as Simulators as a Service, SimTechs as a Service, Scenarios as a Service, Nurse Onboarding, and Accelerate Programs. In this role, you will collaborate with the Business Development and Sales teams, providing support for customer engagements, tradeshows, and the implementation of new programs. Additionally, the Managed Services Operator oversees all aspects of Laerdal equipment management, including setup, maintenance, and shipping. You will also contribute as a standardized patient in training scenarios, playing a vital role in enhancing the quality of Laerdal's solutions and customer experiences.

Responsibilities:
Technical Operations and Equipment Management:

  • Install, operate, maintain, troubleshoot, repair/upgrade, and set up/break down Laerdal equipment and supplies for managed services.
  • Package and palletize equipment to ensure safe arrival, setup, pack-out, and pickup at customer locations.
  • Operate equipment with attention to medical accuracy, making adjustments based on participant actions or direction from subject matter experts.

Scenario Programming and Customization:

  • Program scenarios tailored to customer curriculum and training needs.
  • Collaborate with customer subject matter experts to design and deliver customized Managed Service offerings, such as mobile simulation setups and programming solutions.

Customer Engagement and Collaboration:

  • Work with the Business Development and Sales teams to identify managed service solutions for customers.
  • Assist in promotions, events, site visits, and other customer-facing engagements.
  • Provide guidance and feedback to contract team members during onsite operations.

Resource and Communication Management:

  • Efficiently manage resources and time to ensure smooth delivery of managed services.
  • Foster clear communication between team members, management, and departments to promote effective collaboration.

Requirements:

  • Ideal candidate preferably located in Arizona. Alternative locations - OR, WA, ID, CO, or NV
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, with knowledge of the healthcare industry and simulation-based learning.
  • Minimum of 2-years of Simulation experience (or equivalent experience in related field) and a proven track record of delivering exceptional client service, including managing demanding customer needs.
  • Must have a valid license
  • Willingness to travel up to 90% of the time, including weekends and holidays.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills, with attention to detail and strategic insights for continuous improvement.
  • Audio-visual skills, including setting up cameras, microphones, and troubleshooting equipment malfunctions.
  • Networking skills, such as managing IP addresses, ethernet connections, and configuring computer display settings with external monitors and simulators.
  • Self-starter able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; passionate about people, projects, and processes.
  • Ability to lift and transport up to 75lbs of equipment; reliable transportation and a cellular phone;
  • Familiarity with Laerdal Medical Simulation Portfolio/Operations.

Salary Range: $370/daily rate, $100 training rate. All travel expenses (flights, meals, accommodations, transportation, etc.) eligible for reimbursement
