What you'll be doing

CIBC's Infrastructure Operations Network team supports secure, reliable enterprise technology services that help keep our business running smoothly. As a Senior Consultant, Infrastructure Management, you'll provide deep technical expertise across enterprise managed file transfer services, supporting the design, build, configuration, implementation, and maintenance of critical technology solutions. You'll work closely with technology partners to establish standards, share best practices, and help shape the roadmap for hardware, software, and security infrastructure within your area of expertise. You'll also provide advanced support for complex technology incidents, helping to identify root causes and restore service as quickly as possible. In this role, you'll drive operational excellence by recommending and implementing procedures that strengthen service stability, reduce risk, and support consistent uptime with minimal incidents. Your work will have a direct impact on the reliability, security, and evolution of CIBC's enterprise file transfer environment.

How you'll succeed

  • Technical leadership - Provide subject matter expertise to technology teams during the design, build, configuration, implementation, and maintenance phases of initiatives involving enterprise managed file transfer tools and services.

  • Operational support - Deliver advanced level 4 support for technology-related incidents, troubleshoot complex issues, and help resolve service disruptions in a timely and effective manner.

  • Standards and roadmap development - Define technical standards, best practices, and future-state roadmaps for hardware, software, and security infrastructure related to enterprise file transfer services.

  • Risk mitigation - Identify service gaps and operational risks, and implement procedures and controls that improve uptime, stability, and overall service resilience.

  • Collaboration - Partner with infrastructure, engineering, security, and project teams to recommend scalable solutions and support organization-wide initiatives based on your technical expertise.

  • Communication - Clear communication with stakeholders: application teams, infrastructure teams, security, and external partners. Also, the ability to manage requests, priorities, service expectations, and issue escalations.

Who you are

  • You can demonstrate experience in enterprise managed file transfer products such as Axway SecureTransport and IBM Connect:Direct, as well as ServiceNow, Ansible, Microsoft Access, and Microsoft Excel. It's an asset if you also bring experience with automation, systems integration, or enterprise-scale platform support. Understanding of data-in-transit and data-at-rest encryption, key management, certificate lifecycle, and secure transmission standards

  • You have relevant experience. You bring 5+ years of experience in infrastructure management, enterprise file transfer services, or a related technology environment. You also have strong knowledge of Linux operating systems, file transfer protocols, file encryption algorithms, and scripting in Visual Basic, Python, and Shell.
