About Your Role
Passenger Boarding Bridge (PBB) SME
Provides technical leadership for the planning, design, procurement, integration, testing, and commissioning of Passenger Boarding Bridge (PBB) systems for airport terminals. Responsible for ensuring compatibility between boarding bridges, terminal facilities, apron operations, and aircraft fleets while maintaining compliance with airport operational, safety, and accessibility requirements. Supports coordination among airport operators, airlines, designers, contractors, bridge manufacturers, and commissioning teams throughout all phases of project delivery.
Baggage Handling & Makeup Systems SME
Serves as the technical authority for the planning, design, integration, testing, and commissioning of airport baggage handling and baggage makeup systems. Responsible for system capacity planning, conveyor and sortation technologies, baggage screening integration, operational efficiency, and reliability requirements. Provides expertise in coordinating system interfaces with airline operations, security screening systems, airport operational databases, and terminal infrastructure to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant baggage processing throughout the passenger journey.

Passenger Boarding Bridge (PBB) SME
  • Minimum 10-15 years of experience in airport systems planning, design, implementation, and commissioning, including significant Passenger Boarding Bridge (PBB) experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise with passenger boarding bridge systems, gate equipment, pre-conditioned air (PCA) systems, and aircraft ground power systems.
  • Extensive knowledge of airport gate operations, aircraft compatibility requirements, apron safety standards, and terminal interface considerations.
  • Experience supporting new terminal developments, terminal expansions, gate modernization programs, or airport rehabilitation projects.
  • Familiarity with applicable aviation, safety, accessibility, and operational standards governing passenger boarding bridge systems.
  • Experience evaluating PBB manufacturers, equipment specifications, procurement strategies, and lifecycle considerations.
  • Ability to develop and review technical specifications, design documents, equipment layouts, and construction submittals.
  • Experience managing system integration, testing, commissioning, operational readiness, and handover activities.
  • Strong understanding of structural, electrical, mechanical, and controls interfaces associated with gate and terminal infrastructure.

  • Extensive knowledge of airport baggage operations, airline requirements, passenger processing workflows, and terminal logistics.
  • Experience with in-line baggage screening systems and integration with security screening technologies.
  • Strong understanding of baggage handling system capacity analysis, simulation modeling, throughput requirements, and operational performance metrics.
  • Experience developing and reviewing technical specifications, system layouts, control philosophies, and equipment procurement documents.
  • Familiarity with PLC-based controls, SCADA systems, networked control systems, and baggage management software platforms.
