About the Role
The Maintenance Technician is an hourly, non-exempt position within the Facilities / Operations department at HeadPinz and FastTrax Entertainment Centers across all locations. This role is responsible for maintaining a safe, functional, and well-maintained facility through preventative maintenance, hazard mitigation, and rapid response to facility issues. Primary emphasis is placed on safety, facility integrity, and protection of guests, employees, and company assets.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Safety, Facility Integrity & Risk Prevention (Primary Responsibility)
  • Identify, assess, and correct safety hazards throughout guest areas, back-of-house spaces, attractions, and exterior areas.
  • Perform routine safety inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems, equipment, and fixtures.
  • Immediately respond to urgent maintenance issues including leaks, electrical concerns, damaged flooring, lighting outages, or unsafe conditions.
  • Secure and barricade unsafe areas or equipment until repairs are completed.
  • Support emergency response situations including power outages, water issues, or equipment failures.
  • Follow all OSHA guidelines, safety procedures, and company maintenance protocols.

Facility Maintenance & Repairs
  • Perform general maintenance and repairs including basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and mechanical work.
  • Maintain bowling lanes, attraction areas, GameZone surroundings, kitchens, bars, restrooms, and common areas in safe working condition.
  • Assist with preventative maintenance schedules for equipment, HVAC systems, lighting, and safety systems.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors or contractors as directed.

Cleanliness, Organization & Asset Protection
  • Maintain organized maintenance rooms, tools, equipment, and storage areas.
  • Properly store, label, and handle chemicals, tools, and equipment.
  • Assist with spill response, broken equipment removal, and hazard cleanup.
  • Protect company assets by reporting damage, wear, or misuse promptly.

Documentation, Communication & Accountability
  • Document maintenance requests, completed repairs, and unresolved issues.
  • Communicate safety concerns, repair timelines, and equipment status to management.
  • Support opening and closing procedures related to facility safety and readiness.
  • Follow all SOPs, checklists, and maintenance schedules.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Previous maintenance, facilities, or building repair experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
  • Strong understanding of workplace safety practices and hazard prevention.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Physical & Environmental Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and kneel for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to safely use ladders, tools, and maintenance equipment.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
