Job description

Schedule: Monday - Friday 10am-6pm
Compensation: $26
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of equipment, machinery, and building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Troubleshooting and identifying issues with equipment and systems, and performing repairs and maintenance as needed.
  • Conducting preventative maintenance to ensure optimal functioning and longevity of equipment and systems.
  • Responding to and addressing maintenance requests, including repairs, replacements, and installations.
  • Maintaining an inventory of spare parts and equipment and coordinating with vendors for replacements or repairs.
  • Keeping maintenance records and documentation, including work orders, repair logs, and maintenance schedules.
  • Monitoring and maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the facility, including performing minor repairs and upkeep tasks.
  • Adhering to all safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance tasks.
  • Assisting with the setup and breakdown of equipment and systems for events or projects.
  • Collaborating with other maintenance technicians and departments to ensure efficient functioning of the facility.
  • Continuously learning new skills and techniques to improve maintenance processes and keep up with industry standards.
  • Providing excellent customer service to residents, tenants, or employees by addressing and resolving maintenance issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Organized ability to follow systematic methods of performing tasks.
  • Sense of urgency - Ability to maintain a level of urgency to address and perform tasks timely.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned or required.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) is required.
  • Experience: Five (5) plus years related experience; one (1) year forklift experience. Technical or vocational training in maintenance, electrical, HVAC, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a maintenance technician, with knowledge and experience in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other mechanical systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform tasks that require manual dexterity.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with residents, tenants, and vendors.
  • Computer Skills: Basic personal computer skills.
  • Certificates & Licenses: Valid State Driver's License; Forklift Certification Preferred, Ability to obtain certification based on job requirements.
