Job description

JOB SUMMARY
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for assisting in the maintenance of smooth operations throughout the plant, both by resolving current issues and by preventing future issues.
Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor / Manager
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assists the Maintenance Supervisor to improve the Maintenance Department, Premises and Ground.
  • Trouble shoot and repair equipment with assistance in a reasonable time.
  • Complete all daily assigned preventive maintenance tasks in a reasonable time.
  • Bend/Install conduits through 2", including EMT and Rigid types.
  • Install, replace, and repair motor controls, contractors, overloads, relays, and limit switches.
  • Troubleshoot programs for all controllers.
  • Complete all paperwork and forms.
  • Work with the Supervisors of different departments to improve their operations.
  • Work with subcontractors to complete all projects on time.
  • Work as team player with all maintenance personnel and other departments.
  • Keep informed of new technology in the maintenance field.

  • Understanding of factory equipment (furnaces, heaters, ladles, hoists, time saver, air compressors, sump pumps, exhaust fans, vacuum systems, welding,) and reparation
  • Must be able to communicate in English
