Job Description

  • We are seeking Maintenance Technician - Journeyman for our Huntington, Indiana Plant. The primary role is to provide maintenance support to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the manufacturing facility and to ensure that that all equipment runs efficiently to reduce downtime.
  • Job Responsibilities:

    • Troubleshoot; diagnose; and repair mechanical and electrical systems.
    • Utilize maintenance system for creating and completing work orders.
    • Control downtime by informing operation workers of routine preventative maintenance and operation techniques and monitor compliance.
    • Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment preventative maintenance.
    • Follow all plant safety procedures and guidelines without exception.
    • Carry out maintenance process per supervisor instructions expeditiously and perform tasks in a professional manner.
    • Support work flows, effective layout, and optimum process conditions.
    • Provide P.M. for facilities equipment and production equipment.
    • Suggest modifications and improvements to PM.
    • Accurately document time and materials on PM forms or work order.
    • Determine possible maintenance problems, identify, and repair.
    • Monitor equipment performance. Notify supervision of deviations to normal speeds.
    • Review production fixtures and provide input.
    • Review and provide input on new facility equipment.
    • Support cost savings programs for the manufacturing site.
    • Support housekeeping programs for the manufacturing site.

    Requirements:

    • Must haveJourneyman's card or at least five years of experienceand working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatics.
    • High School diploma or equivalent.
    • Experience in manufacturing environmentpreferred.
