Shift: 10:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Days Off: Friday-Saturday or Sunday-Monday

Position Summary

We are seeking a hands-on Nighttime Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance operations during the overnight shift in a fast-paced commercial bakery environment. This role is responsible for supervising maintenance activities, troubleshooting equipment issues, coordinating repairs, and ensuring all production equipment remains operational to support manufacturing goals.

The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience, prior food manufacturing experience, and the ability to lead maintenance technicians while remaining actively involved on the production floor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support the overnight maintenance team to ensure timely completion of maintenance activities.

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on bakery production equipment.

  • Coordinate and execute preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.

  • Respond to emergency equipment breakdowns and prioritize repairs to support production schedules.

  • Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

  • Assist with installation, modification, and startup of equipment as needed.

  • Ensure maintenance work is completed safely and in compliance with company policies and food safety standards.

  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and repair documentation.

  • Collaborate with production and sanitation teams to maximize operational efficiency.

  • Train and mentor maintenance technicians on troubleshooting and best maintenance practices.

  • Ensure proper inventory levels of maintenance parts and supplies.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 2+ years of maintenance supervisory or lead experience.

  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.

  • Experience working in a food manufacturing, bakery, beverage, or related processing environment.

  • Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.

  • PLC troubleshooting knowledge is a strong plus.

  • Experience with conveyors, motors, gearboxes, pumps, ovens, mixers, packaging equipment, and production machinery preferred.

  • Must have own maintenance tools.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently on overnight shifts.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Commercial bakery experience.
