Job Description

To manage all aspects of electrical and maintenance, and improvements/modifications of equipment, buildings, and grounds. To manage electrical maintenance department to maximize uptime and quality. To act as a liaison between the electrical and maintenance team and the production, mechanical, and administrative departments as well as vendors.
Lead and direct electrical and mechanical maintenance team to include safety, staffing, machinery uptime, cost, training, work schedules and assignments, and morale
Ensure compliance with site and company rules and procedures and consult with HR when questions arise.
Instill a sense of professionalism, integrity, and cooperativeness within the department
Develop training programs to maintain and advance the skill sets of the maintenance team
Provide current, direct, complete, and "actionable" positive and corrective feedback to subordinates
Monitor all mechanical and electrical maintenance projects to ensure successful completion with regard to cost, schedule, and safety
Manage the performance of on-site contractors. Ensures contractors comply with all state, local, and company rules and procedures
Review accuracy of invoices from contractors
Schedule mechanical maintenance and repair projects
Assist project engineers in developing efficient layout and production flow of manufacturing operations
Assist mechanical maintenance staff in diagnosing and correcting equipment failures using a hands-on approach
Develop and maintain preventive, predictive, and proactive mechanical maintenance programs for all plant equipment
Ensure maintenance instructions are accurate, effective and support compliance with applicable regulations.
Communicate and consult with EHS Manager on handling and disposal of hazardous waste and empty drums, implementing and maintaining safety equipment, and coordinating fire drills
Manage the chemical control program, including MSDS, for the Mechanical Maintenance Department

Qualifications

3-5 Years of Maintenance Management in an Manufacturing Environment
Basic Knowledge of Microsoft Office
4 year degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
