SUMMARY
The Maintenance Supervisor position requires an individual who has demonstrated success in a fast-paced medium to heavy manufacturing environment. Responsibilities will include the safe direction of a small group of multi-trade employees that perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair, and install new equipment. This is a 'hands-on' position and requires technical expertise in Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's), electrical, pneumatics, mechanical drives, and hydraulics.
Reports to the Maintenance Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises a group of multi-trade maintenance employees
Provides technical direction to Maintenance Team to ensure that equipment and machines are maintained properly and working correctly.
Analyzes equipment or machinery data (failures) and preventative maintenance program and takes corrective action.
Provides technical training to management and Multi-Trade team members.
Reviews electrical/maintenance schematics to As-Built Equipment, verifying safety systems.
Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
Comply with OSHA Safety and Health rules.
Must be able to improve Maintenance processes and methods for cost-reduction, quality improvement and efficiency.
Must prepare and present plans for the above and coordinate deployment including training of Multi-Trade team members.
Must be able to assist Maintenance Manager in improving the Maintenance Inventory System, including cost controls
Lead or participate on committees/teams as directed by Maintenance Manager
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Safe direction of a small group of multi-trade employees that perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair, and install new equipment. Spends most of their time on the production floor.
QUALIFICATIONS
Planning: an ability to think ahead and plan over a 3--6-month time span
Management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities

Technical skills in Maintenance processes and methods

Problem analysis and problem resolution
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
PLC Experience
Multi-trade experience
Demonstrated Training/Coaching
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred
5 Years of experience in Industrial Maintenance preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Lifting - Up to 50lbs.
Standing - 6 or more hours per day.
Walking - Off and on, 4-6 hours per day.
Body Positions - Squatting, bending, flexing and extending both arms.
Sitting - 2 or more hours per day.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Manufacturing facility -- exposed to heat and cold
Office Environment -- 1st Shift Position
Personal Protective Equipment always required while on the plant floor
Controlled Noise exposure
Activity level is high -- continuous movement
