Overview
Maintenance Assistant Manager is responsible for managing maintenance operations of equipment and team members in module plant. The incumbent also develops, coordinates, and participates in continuous improvement equipment.
Responsibilities
(To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)
  • Business planning for equipment; Control PM plans, budget, organization, investment & KPI and equipment PM schedules, shutdowns, repairs
  • Performance management for equipment; Control equipment downtime/MTTR/MTBF/3R5S/Improvement/Attendance, evaluation staffs' performance for working group, and Report results and improvement plan for all of above items
  • Team Training; Control assessing Training Needs/Creating Plans/Developing plans and training results and improvement progress
  • Communication: Communicate with each dept., vendors & contractors regarding maintenance and Control information for shift change meeting regarding any maintenance daily issue
  • Health and Safety; Serves as safety representative, including coordination of safety training needs, assisting with safety audits, facilitating compliance with standards and maintaining related safety records, and Control scheduling team member training with EHS related to safety requirement and maintaining clean & safe work area (OHSA standards)
  • General Maintenance: Control the efficient maintenance of all plant equipment, Support and perform the implementation of SAP PM module, Support and perform the equipment material and spare parts, Maintain the maintenance assets
  • Preventive maintenance: Control performance to PM plan
  • Breakdown maintenance; Control troubleshooting with equipment failures and Review trouble report with countermeasure or improvement report
  • Management: Provide leadership, guidance and counseling to staff, Attend and participate in meetings, Coordinate and develop documents related maintenance
  • Project related to equipment; Support with installation and inspection of new equipment with engineering cooperation and make plans for training team members
  • Responsible for managing all the overtime hours of staff
  • Comply with and promote safety in the workplace, including attendance at safety meeting as well as conduct safety meetings when necessary.

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience:
  • A technical College degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and 8 more years in maintenance manager experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and 5 more years in maintenance manager experience

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • Good knowledge of Siemens PLC system and program
  • Good knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems
  • Good knowledge of (TPM) Total Productive Maintenance
  • Good knowledge of team leadership and supervising skills
  • Some knowledge of Auto CAD and SAP part of maintenance
  • Some knowledge of Robots and electrical tools
  • Some knowledge of understanding of module function in JIT (Just In Time) Manufacturing Environment
  • Some knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel for documentation
  • Research and request quotations from suppliers (equipment, tool, fixtures, purchased components, etc.)
  • Experience with 2D or 3D Computer Aided Drawing (CAD) programs for reviewing facilities (Basic is Auto Cad)
  • Other tasks as assigned

Preferred Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree (Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel for documentation
  • PLC/PC Program
  • 2D/3D CAD (AutoCAD/CATIA) proficiency
  • Excellent people skills to include collaboration in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team environment
  • Outstanding work ethic and commitment to organizational success
  • Must be able to work nights and weekends

Working Conditions:
  • 50% in office, 50% on production floor or 70% in office, 30% on production floor
  • Traversing production floor
  • Use of protective equipment, devices, and clothing
  • Ascending/descending ladders
  • Lifting 40-50 lbs.
  • Possible international travel to Headquarters
  • Domestic travel to customers, suppliers, or other sites as needed
  • Overtime and weekend work as needed
  • Subject to change as needed
  • Working on 2nd shift and will train on 1st shift
