Job Summary

The Maintenance team is responsible for hotel guestroom preventative maintenance as well as repairs and maintenance of the hotel facility. The best candidate for the job will be an active individual who is ready to be on their feet and on the go regularly for a full 8-hour shift. Every day is different in the hospitality world, and Maintenance team members needs to be flexible with their plans and daily priorities.

Daily Duties

  • Perform various maintenance tasks including carpentry, painting and equipment repair
  • Maintain swimming pools, grounds and general property clean up
  • Respond to general maintenance requests in guest rooms, common areas and employee areas
  • Ensure the hotel facilities are in top working condition at all times with daily, weekly and monthly preventative maintenance checks and procedures
  • Work with and support other hotel departments moving supplies and receiving deliveries to keep operations running smoothly
  • Maintain safety/security practices and have thorough knowledge of emergency procedures
  • Snow removal
  • Off season project work
  • Other duties assigned by management

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Flexibility - everyday is different
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take direction
  • Willingness to go above and beyond to ensure hotel's success
  • Extensive hands-on maintenance experience
  • Knowledge/experience with any of the following: electrical, plumbing, construction/carpentry, & HVAC
  • Ability to push or pull 60 pounds and lift and/or carry 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for 8 hours, bend, stretch, and reach
  • Weekend availability, when we are busiest, is generally required in the hospitality industry
