Description
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the supervision and maintenance of the Camarillo facility, which includes greenhouses, various service buildings, packaging facilities, boiler rooms and grounds.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

โ€ข Assist in the research and development of new projects.
โ€ข Plan yearly maintenance tasks required on all facility assets.
โ€ข Manage spare parts and material inventory.
โ€ข Respond to and prioritize maintenance requests from the various departments.
โ€ข Anticipate repairs and replacements for facility assets.
โ€ข Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for machinery and mechanical systems.
โ€ข Supervise external vendors and contractors.
โ€ข Assist in the development of the maintenance budget.
โ€ข Participates in weekly site maintenance meeting.
โ€ข Coordinate all jobs and facilitate all materials purchasing through Maintenance workflow procedure.
โ€ข Manage and ensure the implementation of safety protocols in the maintenance department. Ensure all employees are operating maintenance machinery safely and within compliance requirements.
โ€ข Plan employee shifts to always ensure emergency coverage.
โ€ข Assist in managing issues that affect day to day operation in the following departments: Greenhouse, Packhouse. Bring forward ideas and solutions to mitigate any issues.
โ€ข Maintain and adhere to all worksite safety, food safety, hygiene protocols and compliance standards.
โ€ข Assist in establishing group objectives and priorities.
โ€ข Ensure employees follow established policies and procedures while encouraging quality and continuous improvement.
โ€ข Determine staffing requirements, work assignment and schedules.
โ€ข Manage recruitment of maintenance employees - interviewing and selection.
โ€ข Manage the ongoing training and development of the Maintenance team.
โ€ข Monitor and mentor employees while providing feedback.
โ€ข Manage in performance evaluation, promotion, and termination activities.
