Job description

MAINTENANCE MANAGER
Lead Reliability. Drive Improvement. Shape the Future.
Southern New Hampshire
Competitive Compensation + Bonus + Comprehensive Benefits + Up to $25,000 Relocation Assistance
Our client is a well-established manufacturer of cold-formed steel building products. Due to an internal promotion, they are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations at one of their Southern New Hampshire manufacturing facilities.
Working closely with the Plant Manager, you'll play a key role in improving equipment reliability, maximizing machine uptime, supporting capital projects, and helping shape the future direction of the maintenance department.
This is an opportunity to move beyond day-to-day maintenance and make a measurable impact on plant performance.
What You'll Do
  • Lead maintenance operations for a busy manufacturing facility.
  • Improve equipment reliability and maximize machine uptime.
  • Develop and enhance preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a small maintenance team while coordinating outside contractors as required.
  • Partner with production and plant leadership on equipment upgrades, capital projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage maintenance planning, purchasing, spare parts inventory, and maintenance budgets.
  • Foster a proactive maintenance culture focused on safety, accountability, and operational excellence.
Ideal Background
  • Previous experience as a Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Supervisor, or Maintenance Leader within an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Experience supporting automated or continuous manufacturing equipment such as:
    • Roll forming
    • Metal forming
    • Tube mills
    • Coil processing
    • Wire & cable manufacturing
    • Steel processing
    • Packaging
    • Plastics or extrusion
    • Building products
    • Food & beverage manufacturing
    • Other automated industrial production environments
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills with hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and PLC-controlled equipment.
  • Experience improving equipment reliability, preventive maintenance programs, and overall plant performance.
  • Hands-on leadership style with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop maintenance personnel is preferred.
  • Experience supporting equipment installations, capital projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Why Join?
This opportunity offers more than responsibility for daily maintenance operations.
You'll have the opportunity to:
  • Influence the long-term direction of the maintenance department.
  • Improve equipment reliability rather than simply responding to breakdowns.
  • Work directly with an experienced Plant Manager on strategic plant improvements.
  • Lead equipment upgrades and capital improvement projects.
  • Join a stable manufacturer investing in its people, equipment, and future.
  • Receive relocation assistance of up to $25,000 for qualified candidates.
If you're interested in learning more, we'd welcome a confidential conversation. Apply today or reach out directly—we're happy to share additional details about the company, equipment, and long-term opportunity.
