Job Summary

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of the facility, equipment, and building systems. This role supervises the maintenance team, prioritizes daily work assignments, and ensures all electrical, plumbing, mechanical, HVAC, and facility systems are operating safely and efficiently.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Supervise and assign daily work to maintenance employees.
  • Plan, schedule, and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Ensure all facility areas, including dock areas, aisles, break rooms, restrooms, shipping offices, and exterior grounds, remain clean, organized, and in good working condition.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards throughout the facility.
  • Inspect buildings, equipment, and systems to identify maintenance needs and initiate repairs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, plumbing, mechanical, HVAC, and facility-related issues.
  • Determine materials, equipment, and supplies required for maintenance projects.
  • Coordinate personnel and equipment between projects as needed.
  • Oversee maintenance involving painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), and other building systems.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance with company standards.
  • Maintain maintenance records and equipment documentation.
  • Ensure all maintenance work is performed safely and in accordance with company policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum of 18 months of education or technical training beyond the high school level in maintenance, industrial technology, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of maintenance experience involving electrical, plumbing, mechanical, or facility systems.
  • Ability to identify equipment malfunctions and coordinate timely repairs.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree or technical certification in Maintenance, Industrial Technology, or a related field preferred.
  • Three (3) years of experience in industrial, warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution center maintenance preferred.
  • Previous supervisory or management experience is highly preferred.
  • Strong English communication skills (written and verbal).

Computer Skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience using Microsoft Windows
  • Experience with maintenance management software (CMMS) is a plus.

Leadership & Problem-Solving Skills
  • Ability to effectively supervise and lead a diverse maintenance team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance projects.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to make sound decisions with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication skills with all levels of management.
