Job Summary:

The Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all Zion Mountain Ranch'sfacilities, equipment, and systems. This position involves performing routine and preventative maintenance, responding to repair requests, and troubleshooting various mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues. The Maintenance Technician will contribute to the comfort and safety of both employees and guests, ensuring that Zion Mountain Ranchoperatessmoothly and that its surroundings arewell-maintained.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform general maintenance and repairs on cabins/lodge facilities, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry work.

  • Conduct routine inspections of lodge buildings and equipment,identifyingissues, and completing repairsin a timely manner.

  • Address maintenance requests from guests and employees efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to operations and guest experience.

  • Assistwith preventative maintenance tasks to avoid breakdowns and ensure the longevity of systems and equipment.

  • Perform basic troubleshooting for appliances, heating and cooling systems, lighting, and other mechanical systems.

  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working order and ensure the maintenance workshop is kept organized and clean.

  • Respond to emergency maintenance calls promptly and perform necessary repairs or provide temporary solutions until a permanent fix is possible.

  • Ensure safety standards are adhered to, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and compliance with OSHA regulations.

  • Assistwithmaintainingoutdoor areas and grounds as needed, including minor landscaping, snow removal, and storm response.

  • Maintain logs of maintenance and repair activities, including completed work orders and equipment serviced.

  • Communicate regularly with the MaintenanceManager to report issues, request supplies, andupdate onprogress.

  • Support special projects or installations as required by the MaintenanceSupervisor and MaintenanceManager.

Work Location:

  • Due to the in-person nature of the hospitality business, this position is on-site. RV space with hook ups are available at no cost for employees, limited employee housing at no cost is available on-siteand commuting fromthe local vicinity is also acceptable.

  • Due to the nature of our business,Zion Mountain Ranchis open every day.You must be prepared toworka schedule which may include Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • 2+ years of maintenance experience in a commercial, residential, or hospitality setting preferred.

  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building systems.

  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently or as part of a team.

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and work in various weather conditions.

  • Valid driver's license.
