Description

The Maintenance Engineer supports predictive and preventive maintenance systems with a focus on cost reduction, efficiency and safety improvements, and process flow. Ideal candidates will have experience in developing and reviewing procedures and strong Excel skills.ย

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering Field
  • At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Experience working with CMMS (Microsoft Dynamics or similar)

ย ย What You Will Do:

  • Develops and implements project management systems related to preventive and reactive maintenance
  • Works with maintenance team to diagnose equipment faults/failures and develop long-term solutions
  • Responds to breakdowns and works to identify system failures and solutions; assists in the repair of equipment
  • Creates maintenance procedures to ensure effective diagnosis of equipment failure, necessary preventive measures, and repair processes upon breakdown
  • Makes recommendations for necessary machine improvements and proactively seeks approval from Maintenance Manager on special components, fixtures, and fittings
  • Manages the budget and allocates funds to maintenance projects, forecasts future spending
  • Provides leadership for project execution to technicians and other maintenance team members
  • Manages inventory of supplies and equipment
  • Ensures compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Develops and maintains metrics around equipment functionality and financial impact
  • Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements:ย 

  • Regularly lift up to 25 lbs, occasionally up to 50 lbsย 
  • Stand and walk for extended periodsย 
  • Work in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environmentย 
  • Work around varying temperaturesย 
  • Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision as well as depth perception and ability to adjust focus
