Purpose

Provides maintenance department leadership through organizing, planning and implementing programs which will support preventative and corrective maintenance and continuous improvement to Plant machinery.

Key Missions
  • 30% - Develop and implement a long-term maintenance strategy to improve equipment reliability. Assess current maintenance and equipment performance and develop a predictive and proactive plan. Identify and anticipate major repairs, replacements and capital projects to insure improved and continuous operations.
  • 25% - Provides Maintenance Engineering corrective actions plans for preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities, and Reliability process related to manufacturing machinery. Ensure compliance to external (i.e. OSHA), and internal protocols.
  •  20% - Direct the maintenance of physical assets of the plant to ensure continued operation and attainment of line effectiveness, yields and costs. Lead and support improvements in asset effectiveness and develop tracking systems for downtime and action plans.
  • 15% - Conduct needs assessment of the maintenance team and recommend training where necessary to improve the efficiency of team members.
  • 10% - Maintain the maintenance department training documentation ensuring all parties are compliant with ISO requirements.
Profile & Other Information
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university in Engineering; or equivalent combination of education and 10 years of work experience.  
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents; respond effectively to the sensitive inquiries or complaints.
  • Excellent Individual will have a  strong working knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
  • Excellent time management, communications, decision making, presentation, human relations, and organization skills.
  • Must have good computer skills for PM programs, and PLC troubleshooting knowledge.
