Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the general maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and upkeep of all company-operated facilities, equipment, vehicles, and grounds, including restaurants, warehouse/distribution operations, and fleet vehicles. This position supports day-to-day operations by responding to maintenance requests, performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues, and completing repairs in a safe, timely, and professional manner.
The ideal candidate is dependable, mechanically inclined, hands-on, and solutions-oriented, with basic construction and repair experience, strong problem-solving abilities, and a willingness to learn new systems and skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform general maintenance and repair work for restaurants, warehouse/distribution facilities, grounds, fleet vehicles, and company equipment
  • Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, drywall, flooring, lighting, doors, locks, shelving, and basic mechanical systems
  • Assist with maintenance and repair of restaurant equipment, warehouse equipment, and company vehicles/trucks
  • Perform preventative maintenance inspections and routine service to minimize downtime and extend equipment life
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests, emergencies, and operational issues across all company locations
  • Assess maintenance problems, determine appropriate solutions, and communicate recommendations to the Operations or Facilities Manager
  • Assist with new store openings, remodels, warehouse projects, equipment installations, and facility improvements
  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, lifts, and maintenance equipment
  • Coordinate with outside vendors, contractors, and property management companies when needed
  • Maintain security-related systems including lighting, alarms, cameras, locks, and access systems
  • Maintain organized maintenance records, work orders, inventory, and repair documentation
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, preventative maintenance, and equipment replacement
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with company safety policies and applicable regulations
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Support team members and assist other departments as operational needs arise

Requirements
Qualifications and Skills
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record, must be insurable.
  • Basic construction, maintenance, or mechanical repair experience required
  • Experience working in restaurant, warehouse, commercial, or industrial environments preferred
  • General knowledge of building systems including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall, and equipment repair
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new equipment, systems, and repair techniques
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing priorities
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced environments and handling emergency maintenance situations
  • Ability to read manuals, instructions, and work orders
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Basic computer and smartphone skills for communication, work orders, and documentation preferred
  • Forklift, scissor lift, or maintenance certifications are a plus but not required

Physical Requirements and Job Conditions
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 75 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in tight or awkward spaces for extended periods
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and temperatures
  • Ability to safely operate tools, equipment, and company vehicles
  • May require occasional after-hours, weekend, or emergency response work depending on operational needs
  • Frequent travel between company locations required
