Maintenance Manager

Position Summary

Our client is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations, equipment reliability, facilities, and Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) programs within a growing manufacturing facility.


This position is responsible for maximizing equipment uptime, developing the maintenance team, supporting capital projects, and driving a strong culture of safety and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is a technical leader who enjoys working on the plant floor while building and developing a high-performing team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all maintenance operations with a strong commitment to safety.
  • Drive equipment reliability through preventive and predictive maintenance.
  • Manage and develop the maintenance team through coaching and training.
  • Troubleshoot complex equipment and facility issues while minimizing downtime.
  • Lead equipment installations, facility improvements, and capital projects.
  • Coordinate vendors, contractors, and maintenance resources.
  • Oversee maintenance inventory, shop organization, and equipment documentation.
  • Partner with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Plant Leadership to achieve operational goals.
  • Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.


Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of maintenance leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven success leading maintenance teams in a fast-paced operation.
  • Strong background in equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience managing capital projects, vendors, and outside contractors.

Preferred

  • Lean Manufacturing, TPM, or Reliability-Centered Maintenance experience.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC-controlled equipment.
  • Experience managing Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) programs.
