JOB SUMMARY

We are currently seeking an Equipment Operator / Maintenance Helper at our Manitoba site. The Equipment Operator / Maintenance Helper will be operating a variety of heavy equipment including but not limited to Loaders, Excavators, Dozers, Rock Trucks, Mulchers, Tractors, Ditchers and Profilers. They are responsible for the operation of their assigned equipment including Safety, Fire Preparedness, and Equipment Maintenance. Equipment Operator will also be required to assist Harvest Operations at multiple locations on a regular basis as required. When not operating equipment, they will be helping the maintenance department with servicing mobile equipment; oil changes, tire changes, greasing fittings and other generals repairs and maintenance.
Please note: The Equipment Operator is a weather permitting position.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Education Required: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience Required: 1-2 years of relevant equipment experience 
  • Ability to work as a part of a small team in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Valid Driver's License


Terms of Employment:

  • Seasonal - May to October
  • 40 hours/week; weather dependent 
  • Early Mornings/Morning/Day/Evenings/Weekend shifts
