A maintenance associate is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the equipment needed to run a business. The setting for this job and the duties vary depending on the type of company. In a retail store, you may need to fix lighting and electrical systems, undertake cleaning duties, and install shelving. Familiarity with hand and power tools, maintenance management systems, and safety protocols is typically required. These skills and qualities are essential to ensure equipment and facilities remain safe, functional, and efficient for daily operations.
