POSITION OVERVIEW

We are looking for a skilled Maintenance worker to perform upkeep tasks such as repairs and cleaning. You will be responsible for applying basic fixes to equipment and ensure the Resorts are tidy and functional. Being reliable with a keen eye for detail is the first step to getting this job. The ideal candidate will have experience and solid technical knowledge.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (these duties include, but are not limited to):

The Maintenance & Grounds Crew is responsible for the overall maintenance of the camp-resort, including but not limited to the facilities, equipment, and overall resort appearance.

  • Monitor and maintain the condition of the Camp-Resort’s property, facilities, and equipment.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests.
  • Assist in planning and executing projects from start to finish.
  • Perform basic repair and maintenance tasks, including:
    1. Carpentry work.
    2. Fixing doorknobs, locks, hinges, and gates as needed.
    3. Drywall repairs and painting of common areas.
    4. Addressing electrical issues (such as lights, cosmetic items, network devices, electrical switches, outlets, etc.).
    5. Plumbing repairs (spigots, unclogging toilets, sinks, bathtubs, showers, and exterior drains).
    6. Mowing, weed wicking, weeding, etc. required.
  • Maintains Park equipment, which may include repairs and preventive maintenance as needed.
  • Maintains driveways, parking lots, curbs, dumpster areas, and all other public areas as directed by the Maintenance Manager General Manage.
  • Preforms touch up and finish painting.
  • Makes minor carpentry, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing repairs.
  • Help maintain a planned maintenance program to ensure that sites and services continue operation without interruption and to the required standards.
  • Monitors pool chemicals daily and maintains logbook as required by health department.

Marginal Job Functions:

  • Removal of trash and preparation of campsites for new guests.
  • Knowledge of rest room cleaning process.
  • Other Job Duties as assigned.
  • Possess exceptional guest relations skills.
  • Weekend & holiday hours are required.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience as maintenance technician.
  • Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and other systems.
  • Specific training or experience with heavy equipment and hand tools
  • Attention to Detail, Speed, and Accuracy
  • Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
  • Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices.
  • Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
  • Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime.
  • Ability to Work with Minimal Supervision.
  • Availability for Nights, Weekends, and Holidays

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position is an extremely physically active position. Employees are regularly required to stand, walk, and run. Must be able to stand for long periods of time, stoop, kneel, and crouch. Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds. Employee is frequently exposed to outdoor weather conditions (hot and humid, rainy, extreme temperatures, airborne particles)
