Maintenance Assistant

Job Summary:

Norwichtown Rehabilitation and Care Center (NRCC) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Assistant to join our team! As a Maintenance Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of quality care and a safe, clean, and efficient environment for our residents and staff. If you are passionate about supporting the daily operations of our facility and are eager to make a difference, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

About the Role:

As a Maintenance Assistant, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with daily cleaning and maintenance tasks

  • Performing routine repairs and maintenance on equipment and facilities

  • Assisting with grounds keeping and facility maintenance projects

  • Providing support to the Maintenance Department as needed

  • Participating in emergency preparedness and on-call coverage as needed

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Previous maintenance experience preferred

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
