We're Hiring: Maintenance Engineering Manager
Location: Aurora, Ontario
Type: Full-time

We're looking for an experienced and highly organized Maintenance Engineering Manager to lead the planning, scheduling, and continuous improvement of our maintenance operations. This role is critical to ensuring our equipment runs efficiently and safelysupporting production goals while driving long-term performance and cost control.

Position Overview

As the Maintenance Engineering Manager, you will oversee day-to-day maintenance operations while managing long-term strategies for equipment performance, preventive maintenance, and contractor partnerships. You'll bring a strong understanding of automation, robotics, and production systemscombined with excellent communication and leadership skillsto support a high-performing team and a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and improve day-to-day operations of the maintenance team
  • Develop and manage maintenance planning, scheduling, and work order systems
  • Measure and track maintenance effectiveness and equipment performance metrics
  • Optimize and manage preventive maintenance (PM) programs
  • Source and manage equipment suppliers, vendors, and external contractors
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and ensure timely parts ordering and availability
  • Collaborate with Production, QA, and Operations teams to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and food manufacturing regulations
  • Utilize engineering tools (e.g. AutoCAD, SolidWorks) to support equipment layout, upgrades, or installations
  • Support automation and robotics systems maintenance and troubleshooting

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of maintenance or engineering leadership experience in a manufacturing or food production environment
  • Strong understanding of automated systems, robotics, and industrial equipment
  • Proven experience managing PM schedules, parts procurement, and contractor relationships
  • Comfortable with planning tools and CMMS systems
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD or SolidWorks
  • Highly organized with strong communication and leadership skills
