Programmer Analyst Senior:

The selected candidate will perform complex analytical, design, development and technical documentation tasks in support of the program. This resource will be utilized on the Driver 360 project. This position is primarily responsible for the design, analysis and facilitation tasks required in the development and maintenance of the application architecture. The main tasks of this position include but are not limited to the following:

1. Prepare for and lead Joint Application Development efforts in conjunction with the Application Architect to web service enable a legacy COBOL application

2. Lead the business functional and technical requirements gathering efforts in support of the detailed design documentation

3. Develop all necessary requirements and development based documentation to include but not limited to high level requirements, user requirements, functional, technical requirements, design documentation, use and test cases, traceability matrixes, specifications, etc.

4. Web service enabling existing COBOL programs

5. Provide technical assistance and guidance to the design, development, integration, and deployment of application software

Expected Skills: Able to work without assistance; can provide leadership to others; able to manage highly complex work efforts; may have advanced education; may have extensive industry experience.

Description (including, but not limited to):

1. Development and enhancement of applications based on established design specifications

2. Analysis, design, coding, component/assembly testing of all application code owned by the Application Team

3. Implementing configuration changes to software applications to meet both functional and technical requirements

4. Writing application software, data analysis, data access, data structures, data manipulation, databases, design, programming, testing and implementation, technical and user documentation, software conversions, maintenance (including production support)

5. Unit testing applications and developing system and user documentation

Qualifications

Required Skills

Proven experience in software development and maintenance of IT applications

Proven business analysis experience

Minimum of 5 years experience of COBOL programming with emphasis on exposing CICS transactions to ESB

Minimum of 5 years experience of DB2, CICS/CTG/CTS programming experience with

Experience with MVS/JCL, TSO development and maintenance and converting copybooks to XML schemas,

Working experience with VSAM, Endevor and Xpediter

Experience collecting user requirements and documenting the design of large and complex projects
