Position Description:

Plans, coordinates, andsupportsdisaster recovery tests of brokerage business applications on mirrored z/OS platforms and on non-production environments. Proactively analyzes and troubleshoots complex system and application issues across non-production and production environments, independentlyidentifyingroot causes and implementing advanced resolutions to ensure stability, performance, and continuity of services. Applies incident management toidentifyroot cause and support systems in Mainframe, UNIX, Linux, Windows, and Virtual Machine Wage (VMWARE) platforms. Executes operational procedures using mainframes tools and mainframe computing functions.Supports end-to-end systems and identifies and resolves system or application issues using batch cycle.Accurately executes operational procedures to support end-to-end systems in mainframe, application, and distributed systems.Consultswith business users to develop recommendations that address difficult and complex business needs and opportunities.

  • Ensures the integrity, stability, maintainability, and availability of systems, applications, and infrastructure in production and non-production environments.

  • Representssupportorganizationat senior level review and crisis resolution meetings.

  • Identifiesopportunities to enhance efficiency of on-going service request procedures.

  • Ensurescompliance with disaster recovery testing requirements.

  • Plans and coordinates project schedules and assignments for multiple projects.

  • Performs complex and creative cross-functional assignments and multi-phaseproject.

  • Acts as a primary liaison for business units to resolve project/technology issues.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and five (5) years of experience as Principal Systems Services and Support Analyst (or closely related occupation) automating and integrating mainframe applications, data, and systems infrastructure using Control-M and Job Control Language (JCL).

Or, alternatively,Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Principal Systems Services and Support Analyst (or closely related occupation) automating and integrating mainframe applications, data, and systems infrastructure using Control-M and Job Control Language (JCL).

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must alsopossess:

  • Demonstrated Expertise ("DE")performing mainframe components migration, using JCL, Common Business Oriented Language (COBOL), Database Request Module (DBRM), Customer Information Control System (CICS), ACNTL, VCNTL, macros, and procedures; validating source code and resolving errors, usingEndevor, ServiceNow, Oracle DB, and REXX routines; and performing database and file system cleanup (batch job decommissioning), using Time Sharing Option (TSO), Interactive System Productivity Facility (ISPF), Control-M, Oracle database,pgAdmin, and Virtual Storage Access Method (VSAM) for supported applications across System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and pre-production environments.

  • DEparticipating in disaster recovery programs in compliance with Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRII) frameworks and standards (running batch jobs, recycling regions, and communicating to business partners), using DB2, Control-M, CA-View, CICS, and Restructured Extended Executor (REXX) routines in production and SIT environments; and monitoring batch job scheduling calendar and testing support, using Control-M and VSAM in non-production environments.

  • DEscheduling and monitoring batch application jobs using JCL, Control-M, TSO, ISPF, Network Data Mover (NDM), and Axway, within large-scale mainframe environments supporting at least 50,000 batch jobs; and creating batch jobs to install and configure mainframe applications, using JCL and REXX routines.

  • DEmonitoring service requests to process ad-hoc data and job update requests -- researching and resolving incident management tickets -- to solve environment-related issues and restore service, using ServiceNow, Splunk, JCL, VSAM, DB2,Sysview, File Aid, and Intertest.
