Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer with strong expertise in COBOL, IMS/DB, CICS, and JCL to support mission-critical banking applications for our client, Bank of America. This is an onsite role in Wilmington, DE, offering a long-term opportunity with a leading financial institution.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL.
  • Work with IMS/DB and IMS/DC for high-performance data management and transaction processing.
  • Utilize CICS for developing and supporting online applications.
  • Create and maintain JCL scripts for batch job scheduling and execution.
  • Collaborate with system analysts, testers, and business teams to ensure optimal system performance and user experience.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues and performance bottlenecks.
  • Assist in system integration, deployment, and post-implementation support.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in mainframe development.
  • Strong proficiency in COBOL programming.
  • In-depth knowledge of z/OS mainframe operating system.
  • Expertise in IMS database technologies including IMS/DB and IMS/DC.
  • Extensive experience in CICS for transaction processing.
  • Advanced skills in Job Control Language (JCL) for batch job execution.
  • Basic understanding of mainframe system administration tasks such as dataset management and security protocols.

Preferred Qualifications:
