Job Summary:
Bank of America is committed to making financial lives better through connections and is seeking a Mainframe z/OS Infrastructure Engineer II. This role involves designing tools and services within a technical domain to support business strategies, focusing on automation and efficiency improvements in Mainframe operations.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Provides subject matter expertise and consulting services on a range of technologies and assists Technical Analysts and Infrastructure Engineers to ensure that technology solutions comply with enterprise system design and engineering standards
โ€ข Assists with translating business requirements into technical definitions, reference models, blueprints, and playbooks for deployment in compliance with architecture standards and policies
โ€ข Assists in the evaluation of reference models, blueprints and playbooks to ensure they are fit for purpose
โ€ข Develops software solutions to address manual and repeatable work or inefficient processes
โ€ข Conducts on-site evaluations of third-party products being considered for firm adoption
โ€ข Promotes an inclusive and healthy working environment and helps to resolve organizational impediments/blockers
โ€ข Contributes to the creation/selection of functional and non-functional product evaluation requirements within and across domains
โ€ข The System Automation technical team(LSA) supports the IBM System Automation Z/OS, Automation NETVIEW and GDPS-CA tool set and tasks and their associated automation process, programming and policy database.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Candidate must have a minimum of 7 yearsโ€™ experience with Mainframe z/OS operating system
โ€ข Must have LPAR experience
โ€ข Ability to manage multiple deliverables with various time and date deliveries
โ€ข Working Mainframe REXX programming experience. Solid understanding of PIPES.
โ€ข Solid Experience of IBM System Automation ZOS.
โ€ข Ability to write and maintain documentation
โ€ข Mainframe z/OS, JCL, TSO, ISPF knowledge
โ€ข Ability to work closely with clients to automate processes to solve client issues.
โ€ข Deep knowledge of IBM Utilities i.e. IEBCOPY, IEBGENER, etc.
โ€ข Good communication skills, both written and oral are required as the individual must interface with system programmers, application developers, support teams, software vendors and management staff.
โ€ข This position will require after hours support and some weekend and holiday hours
