Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Mainframe Application Support Engineer with strong expertise in Mainframe technologies (JCL, COBOL, DB2, CICS) and production support. The candidate will be responsible for providing L2/L3 application support, monitoring applications, managing incidents, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. The role requires effective client and vendor interaction, strong troubleshooting skills, and adherence to SLAs and change management processes.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide production support (L2/L3) for applications running on Mainframe technologies.
  • Develop, enhance, and support applications using JCL, COBOL, DB2.
  • Monitor application health and notify stakeholders of any issues.
  • Manage incident queues in ServiceNow and resolve within SLA timelines.
  • Perform validations and system checks post-production deployments.
  • Work closely with multiple teams to resolve issues with file transmissions and data flows.
  • Ensure all vulnerabilities, variances, and audit findings are addressed on time.
  • Prioritize and complete assigned tasks within deadlines.
  • Collaborate with client and vendor partners to maintain smooth BAU processes.
Required Skills:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Mainframe technologies.
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
    • JCL, COBOL, DB2, CICS
    • SAS, DYL, Hogan
    • Tivoli Work Scheduler
  • Experience in ServiceNow and Jira for incident/change management.
  • Proven application support experience (L2/L3) in Mainframe environments.
  • Strong communication and client interaction skills.
