JOB SUMMARY:

Under general supervision directs overall operations in the Guest Service Center on an assigned shift; verifies incoming and outgoing banks; completes pit fills, slot fills and jackpots; verifies transactions greater than $1,500; troubleshoots and reconciles problems/issues; balances Main Bank at the end of shift and completes required reports; and performs other duties as required.


DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS:

The position is distinguished from other levels of Guest Service Center staff by its signatory authority, as well as its responsibility for the Main Bank, Guest Service Center operations and its supervision of other staff.


SUPERVISION EXERCISED:

Provides direction, establishes priorities, assigns tasks, coordinates work and/or monitors the work of other personnel.


Essential Functions: (This class specification may not include all the duties listed, nor do the examples cover all the duties that may be performed.)

Supervise overall operations in the Guest Service Center by establishing priorities, assigning, coordinating and/or monitoring the work of Guest Service Center staff during an assigned shift, including scheduling breaks and administering corrective action, providing training and evaluating performance in order to promote smooth, efficient operations and excellent guest service.


Establish, maintain, evaluate and/or revise policies and procedures to be followed by department personnel in the course of daily operations in order to promote operational efficiency and costs savings.


Oversee the performance of staff, providing regular input regarding quality and quantity of work; proร‚ยญvide employees with guidance and direction to correct deficienร‚ยญcies and improve productivity.


Receive and/or count banks (outgoing and incoming) from other departments; verify cash from count team; complete fills and credits for the pit, slots and jackpots and verify cashier transactions in excess of $1,500 by counting monies and chips (following established MICS and ISO procedures) to authenticate the results.


Balance funds of the Main Bank at the beginning and end of assigned shift by following procedures outlined in MICS and ISO, physically counting money to complete cash drawer accounting and validate the accuracy of transactions during the shift.


Count currency and coin, either manually or using count equipment by in order to provide an accurate valuation of monies exchanges during the shift.


Ensure that audit exceptions are reviewed and resolved in a timely manner by interfacing with auditing staff to determine how the exception occurred and then working with Guest Service Center/Main Bank staff to correct the circumstances which led to the event so that Guest Service Center/Main Bank transaction errors are kept to a minimum.


Respond to guests' questions, using procedures outlined in the Quick Reference Guide, providing information about casino gaming promotions, special and other events and/or programs in order to assist guests, advertise marketing campaigns and encourage guest attendance and participation.
