Job description

Position Introduction

The On-Call Mail Services Clerk is responsible for sorting campus mail and packages, and delivering to the appropriate areas. This position will deliver cartons of paper to the campus as requested.

Job Description  

The On-Call Mail Services Clerk will pick up and sort campus mail from assigned areas and from Notre Dame post office, and assists with sorting mail and metering outgoing mail. This position will drive SMC Mail Services Department Truck, obtains gas and car wash as needed.

The On-Call Mail Services Clerk will deliver cartons of paper to the campus as requested, and may assist in processing bulk and special mailings to include stuffing, labeling, and sealing, zipping and bagging. This position will perform other job-related duties as assigned by manager.

Minimum Qualifications  

  • Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds; frequent lifting, standing, bending, and walking required.
  • Valid driver's license, with a satisfactory driving record, to operate college vehicles, as needed.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and life for extended periods of time.

Schedule         

Temporary Full-time/ M-F, Some Saturdays/ Overtime possible

Eligibility to Work: Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and must not require visa sponsorship from the College, either now or in the future.
