A Brief Overview
Processes and delivers incoming and outgoing mail per established procedures and deadlines. Enters data and check information into designated computer systems. Maintains confidentiality at all times. Performs all duties in a safe manner.
What will you do?

  • Date stamps and sorts incoming mail for delivery within the company. May open the mail when authorized by management. Opens and date stamps Claims Department mail. Identifies, sorts and prepares each piece of mail for scanning or delivery to other departments.
  • Opens, sorts and prepares Premium Finance mail for the Imaging Department. Locates via mainframe (V-4) or ImageRight, policy numbers for documents that do not include the policy number and prepares for the Imaging Department.
  • Enters incoming checks daily for NICO/BHHC into the Finance Department's cash receipts system via the mainframe when authorized by management. Makes copies according to cash receipts procedures and distributes to appropriate departments. Makes any needed corrections when advised by the Finance Department.
  • Prepares, counts, and adheres postage for USPS Return Receipt and Certified Mail for the Cancellation, Claims and other departments using appropriate forms and meeting set deadlines. Prepares, copies and completes all USPS forms returned by the Post Office for the Imaging Department.
  • Prepares printed policy and other Company documents for mailing. Applies provided printed labels to designated USPS envelopes for large policy mailings. Verifies the name on label matches the name on policy and reports any inconsistencies to appropriate person to correct prior to mailing. Operates folder/inserter equipment as necessary in preparing documents for mailing.
  • Picks up and delivers U.S. Mail and interoffice mail and materials within office by walking through all departments as scheduled. Sorts interoffice correspondence and other materials to be delivered to departments. Prepares outgoing mail by sorting, weighing, sealing, and adhering postage to envelopes for pick up by an outside mail service.
  • Prepares packages for delivery by FedEx and UPS. Identifies and selects most cost effective courier based on package qualities. Boxes deliverables as necessary, weighs and applies mailing label to package. Delivers packages to building dock for pickup by appropriate courier.
  • POSITIVE TEAM CULTURE: Exhibits and promotes a positive team culture includes but not limited to accepting constructive feedback, being respectful of others, being helpful to coworkers, volunteering to assist with projects, etc.
  • OTHER: Performs related duties as directed or as situation dictates such as participating in other activities, projects, and initiatives as required. Duties are listed in order of greatest importance. Other responsibilities may be assigned.


Education
High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
Experience
Six months minimum experience.
