Job description

Facilities Associate (Hospitality) - Reston, VA (FT)

 

IST is a rapidly growing business process outsourcing (BPO) company and the largest American privately-owned facilities management company. Founded in 1997, the company is a two-time recipient of the Human Resources Professional Excellence Award granted by the Society for Human Resource Management. This is a full time direct hire position The Facilities Associate (Hospitality) will work closely with the Facilities, Executive Administrative Staff, and Property Management to ensure that all daily operational, maintenance and janitorial tasks are taken care of to maintain the value and appearance of operations. We observe a business professional dress code. Must be willing to cross train for potential advancement opportunities!

Compensation: $22 - $23 (DOE) hourly, plus Bonus Incentives

Schedule: Monday to Friday (6:30 AM - 3:00 PM, 30 minute lunch)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Safely cleans common areas throughout the day while minimizing disruptions to building operations; responsible for cleaning and disinfecting common areas such as kitchens, bathrooms (No restrooms as the building day porter handles these today), conference rooms and offices according to schedule
  • Responsible for upkeep of breakroom/lounge areas such as stocking supplies, cleaning/dusting of counter-tops, coffee pots/dishes, microwaves and refrigerators according to cleaning schedule; responsible for upkeep of conference rooms such as stocking supplies, organizing furniture, disinfesting, polishing and vacuuming areas etc.
  • Monitor the conference center for cleanliness and stocking supplies as needed. (No restrooms as the building day porter handles these today but add the Conference center)
  • Responsible for visual inspections and reporting facilities/maintenance service issues
  • Respond to “on call” requests from Executive Administrative for special meeting support from time to time
  • Backup support to facilities mail room and receptionist team as needed. Other responsibilities include, but not limited to switchboard coverage, mail deliveries, vendor escorts, facilities related request etc.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) - College Degree is a plus and allows a fast track plan to management.
  • Keyboarding and windows environment PC skills. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Proficient in   Suite (word, excel, power point a must)
  • Ability to effectively work individually or in a team environment
  • Competency in performing multiple functional tasks
  • Capable of lifting up to 55 pounds
  • Willingness to cross-train for other job functions
  • Experience in reception /office support services a plus
