Print and Mail Services Clerk

Pay Rate: PL 1

$43,300 - $48,100

The Job You Will Perform: 

  • Review incoming print jobs with customers to ensure files are print-ready (adjust as needed), establish reasonable deadlines, and schedule jobs to ensure all work is completed within those deadlines.

  • Able to handle multiple orders and prioritize workload based on operational equipment and deadlines.

  • Familiar with Adobe Acrobat and/or Microsoft Office and Fiery Command WorkStation software.

  • Operate high-volume digital printers and wide format inkjet printers to complete customer orders. 

  • Perform preventive and routine maintenance on all equipment (print and mail) to ensure it remains in peak running condition.

  • Perform quality control inspections of all printed output to ensure each job meets quality standards and meets customer expectations. 

  • Maintain print requisition records in SharePoint database, including acknowledgement and completion of orders.

  • Perform bindery/finishing processes when required by print requisitions such as cutting, folding, scoring, laminating, padding, spiral binding, etc.

  • Receive, process, and deliver incoming mail and packages from USPS, FedEx, UPS, etc.

  • Operate postage meters for USPS mailing also use UPS WorldShip and/or FedEx Ship Manager for outgoing items.

  • Operate x-ray equipment on all incoming mail and packages for security threats.

  • Keep daily records for all incoming and outgoing items for recording purposes.

  • Work safely, use proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and inspect areas for safety hazards. 

  • Regular and consistent on-site attendance is required.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Some college or vocational training preferred.

  • Prior experience in print and bindery operations preferred.

  • Must have basic math skills, working with decimals and fractions

  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) preferred.

  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of Adobe Acrobat preferred. 

  • Prior experience and/or knowledge in mail center operations.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Organization and prioritization skills.

  • Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 70lbs.

  • Must be able to push/pull using a cart or hand truck up to 500lbs.

  • Must be able to stand and/or walk up to 6.5 hours per day.
