Job Description:

Position Summary:

The Card Servicing Representative performs a variety of duties for consumer credit, commercial, and debit card services. The incumbent will conduct maintenance, adjustments, disputes, report monitoring, payment processing, credit reporting, payoffs, card orders, lost/stolen reports returned mail, document archival and retrieval. The Card Servicing Representative delivers exceptional service to members and employees by timely, accurate, and professional support through telephone, email and secure messaging.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Responsible for correspondence and communicating with members and employees over the telephone, email, and secure messaging regarding card-related requests.

  • Responsible for processing internal and external requests for processing/refunding fees, adjustment of payments, card payoffs, returns of convenience checks, ordering cards, securing/closing accounts, processing fraud and non-fraud disputes, balance refunds, returned mail, placing sop payment request, explaining interest calculations, commercial account creation, redemptions and research.

  • Responsible for ensuring compliant credit card reporting to Credit Reporting Agencies and responding to consumer disputes.

  • Assists in monitoring/working various daily/month end reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with Credit Union policies.

  • Services consumer and commercial credit card accounts. Cross functional serving for Home Equity credit cards.

  • Working with third party vendors to ensure systems and account are accurate and compliant.

  • Assumes additional responsibilities as necessary for the continued growth and advancement of the Credit Union.

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Transaction Reconciliation, highly accurate data entry skills and detail orientated in research are a necessity.

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with members and employees.

  • Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast pace work environment.

  • Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook).

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Previous experience supporting credit card services, banking or financial services industry required

  • Recent lending experience preferred
