Job description

Our independently owned homecare agency is seeking an Accounts Receivable Accountant.  The primary responsibility is to support the finance department, manage accounts receivable, and produce financial documents for the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Understand, adhere to, and apply generally accepted accounting principles. 
  • Process payments and documents such as invoices, employee reimbursements, and financial statements.
  • Track expenses and evaluating budgets.
  • Post financial data to accounts.
  • As appropriate, coordinates with software vendor to maintain accounting software system, and recommends updates to enhance that system. 
  • Create Excel spreadsheets with the appropriate formulas. 
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and QuickBooks. 
  • Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual audits.
  • Handle communication between the organization and clients.
  • Maintain and improve the organization’s bookkeeping process.
  • Draft and edit financial presentations, reports, and projections based on financial data.
  • Evaluate current and previous financial data.
  • Study business and economic trends.
  • Gather information.
  • Reconcile invoices and identify discrepancies.
  • Perform basic office tasks like filing, data entry, and mail processing.
  • Conduct basic bookkeeping and administrative tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma.
