Job description

The MCS Group has a job opening for a Mail Clerk at a busy university located in Washington, DC. Job responsibilities include sorting mail, delivering mail to various locations on campus, and processing outgoing mail. Candidate must possess strong customer service skills and a positive approach to working in a fast-paced environment. Lastly, the candidate must be willing to complete and pass a criminal background test and drug test.

Candidate must be flexible with their schedule.

ALL CANDIDATES MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE.

Mail Clerk (Washington, DC)

Office Hours โ€“ 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Monday to Friday

Occasional weekend hours as needed

The Mail Clerk must be highly motivated, customer-focused, and capable of demonstrating a variety of tasks related to a university/educational environment. The associate provides a high level of quality while maximizing productivity.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Being involved in the workflow in a university environment
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs unassisted.
  • Receive all incoming mail and packages. Process according to specific SOPs and internal delivery controls.
  • Assist customers with mail, shipping, and receiving packages.
  • Follow all safety requirements.
