We are currently accepting applications for a Personal Banker at our Grants Pass Headquarters location.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

The primary function of this position is to provide superior customer service to Evergreen customers including opening and maintenance on personal and business accounts. Essential functions of the Personal Banker position include the following:

  • Provide friendly, courteous and professional communication support, including responding to incoming telephone calls, electronic mail and voice mail.
  • Responsible for opening new business, consumer, and IRA accounts.
  • Have a solid understanding of complex account structures and compliance requirements for businesses, trusts and estate accounts.
  • Identify issues and offer solutions that will help Evergreen customers experience the most convenient banking possible.
  • Handle all monetary transactions for customers, (i.e. deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, check cashing, savings bonds, etc.)
  • Thoroughly review all transactions and situations to ensure accurate processing and compliance with all regulatory directives and Evergreen policies and procedures.
  • Initiate outgoing domestic and international wires.
  • Process IRA transaction requests.
  • Provide Notary services.
  • Be knowledgeable of and adhere to all security procedures.
  • Assist other team members with special projects and tasks as needed or assigned.
  • Complete requests and assignments as provided by management.
  • Review and QC account files for accuracy.
  • Attend meetings as requested.
  • Must meet CSR II requirements in addition the responsibilities above.
  • Provide support and/or work at alternate locations when requested and required to do so
  • Adhere to the Bank's CIP, BSA and related security procedures to ensure bank compliance in your area of responsibility. Accurately completes CTR and monetary instrument reporting when necessary and in a timely manner.

Education/Experience

Associates degree preferred. Minimum of one-year banking experience in new accounts or teller capacity and strong customer service and cash-handling experience. The successful individual will have strong computer navigation skills.

Physical demands

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods.
  • Be able to move about the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Be able to move/transport up to 30 lbs.
  • Operate a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, printer, scanner, and other standard office equipment.
  • The work primarily performed in this position is done within an indoor, climate-controlled environment.
