Job description

65% - Campus Mail 
  • Driving a university-owned vehicle to deliver and collect campus mail.
  • Campus Mail packaging, processing, and delivery.
25% - Library Mail
  • Library mail supply prep, packaging and processing, including computer documentation.
5% - Shipment Management, Delivery, & Collection
  • Management of shipments to and from Watson Library (staging, loading & unloading of dock deliveries).
  • Driving a university-owned vehicle to transport library materials between library locations.
  • Delivery of copy paper to library offices.
  • Collection of donated books.
5% - Other Duties as Assigned
  • Assist library personnel with projects when needed (moving furniture, arranging work areas, etc.). 
Percentages listed above are approximations and can vary according to the blocks of time worked, the time of day worked, the days of the week worked, the number of patron requests for library materials we receive, and other variable and situational elements of the job.,This is a Student Hourly / Work Study position involving campus mail delivery and collection; as well as assisting with KU Libraries mail packaging, processing, periodic projects and daily duties. We are open Monday - Friday and are seeking students with availability to work some 8:00am-10:00am and/or 1:00pm-3:00pm shifts during the week, with additional hours possible around these core times.
We are currently seeking to hire students for the Fall 2026 term. Our anticipated start date is Monday, 8/17/2026, though earlier start dates may be accommodated upon request.
