Job description

Position Summary:
The Mail Room Operator provides essential support services by sorting, processing, and distributing incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and internal deliveries for Trinity Health. This role ensures the timely, accurate, and secure handling of all mailroom operations while supporting interoffice delivery needs and assisting with related clerical tasks in accordance with established organizational procedures. Working as part of a coordinated support services team, the Mail Room Operator contributes to smooth daily operations by maintaining organized workflows, clear communication, and consistent attention to detail that supports departments across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Sort, process, and distribute incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and interoffice deliveries according to established procedures.
  • Operate mailroom equipment such as postage meters, folder inserters, and labelers.
  • Track and document delivery of time sensitive or accountable items as required.
  • Maintain mailroom supplies, cleanliness, and organization.
  • Coordinate with departments and external carriers to address delivery or pickup needs.
  • Follow safety, security, and confidentiality procedures when handling mail and packages.
  • Assist with other clerical or support tasks for the department as assigned.

Licenses and Certifications Required:
  • Valid drivers license is required

Educational Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.

Experience Requirements:
  • Two years of related experience is preferred.
