Job description

Opening its doors over 45 years ago, FSSI is a leading document outsourcing company servicing Fortune 500 companies in the financial, banking, insurance and billing industries across the U.S.

We’re looking for a full-time Mail Machine Operator to join our team in Santa Ana, CA. This position is responsible for successfully and accurately operating large machines used to prepare mailing pieces in a high-volume print and mail processing environment. We’re looking for reliable candidates who are eager to grow in a fast-paced production environment.

Full-time Schedule: Monday – Friday, 1:30 pm - 10:00 pm (2nd shift)

Overtime is scheduled on an as needed basis. Extended hours are usually scheduled at least once a month, typically during the first 7 days of each month to complete month end processing. Additional overtime could be scheduled during the week, and could include weekends in rare circumstances.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate Pitney Bowes intelligent inserters that use bar code scanning and camera validation in a demanding high-speed environment.
  • Accurately set-up inserting systems for optimal production throughput.
  • Accurately process damaged and diverted mail pieces.
  • Sort mail once mailing jobs are complete.
  • Consistently produce quality output at the levels set by department management.
  • Process stock returns.
  • Additional work, as assigned.

Requirements

EDUCATION and/or RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of related experience as a Machine Operator in a fast-paced production/manufacturing environment.
  • Experience operating Pitney Bowes FPS, MPS or Epic is a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Continuous standing, walking and movement of the upper body for up to 10 hours a day. Regularly required to use hands and/or fingers to grasp, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear. Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must regularly lift, move, pull, and push up to 40 pounds independently. Specific visions required by this job include close, distance, accurate color, and peripheral vision, and focus adjustments.

Hiring Pay Rate: $20 + depending on industry experience
