Job Summary: The Insert Machine Operator is responsible for operating, setting up, and maintaining high-speed inserting equipment used in direct mail production. This role combines machine operation with mechanical troubleshooting skills to ensure equipment runs efficiently, production goals are met, and quality standards are maintained. The ideal candidate has experience operating production machinery and the ability to diagnose and perform minor mechanical adjustments and repairs.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:00 pm
Responsibilities:
  • Operate high-speed inserting equipment to produce accurate and high-quality direct mail pieces.
  • Perform machine setups, changeovers, adjustments, and troubleshooting to maintain production efficiency.
  • Monitor equipment performance and make mechanical adjustments to reduce downtime.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, and basic repairs.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and escalate major equipment problems as needed.
  • Inspect finished products to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with customer specifications.
  • Read and interpret job specifications, production instructions, and machine settings.
  • Maintain accurate production records, including job counts, downtime, and quality checks.
  • Assist with training other operators on machine operation and best practices.
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Collaborate with production supervisors, maintenance, and quality teams to resolve issues.

Qualifications:
